Karma Care, Friday, August 1

I think that there are many ways to feel better and to feel good.  For example, a deep tissue massage or a nice, relaxing yoga class is sure to contribute to my physical feel good.  A conversation with a funny friend is certainly good for fine tuning the feel good of my emotions. One of the best ways for my soul to feel good is to give selflessly to others.  For this reason, I created Karma Care.

Karma Care is a monthly happening at Sage Integrative Therapies.  Every first friday of the month (to help celebrate Crossroads District First Fridays) I donate the money collected from sessions with patients and clients to a selected charity.  To participate, simply schedule an appointment on the designated Karma Care day.

The upcoming Karma Care will take place on Friday, August 1.  I have selected a charity called Embrace Iowa for donation.  This is a fund that was created to relieve those who were affected by the 2008 floods in Iowa.  Until now, I have tried to choose local organizations as to directly impact our Kansas City community.  Though as a native Iowan, I really wanted to help those who were devastated by the massive amounts of flood waters that ultimately destroyed homes and business and without doubt changed people's lives.  I can't imagine their grief, but I wish in some small way to help mend it.

Future Karma Care dates and organizations are listed on ExperienceSage.com .  Please take part in healing yourself and our community.
